Description:

The Clerk's Office of the United States District Court for the District of Oregon is now accepting applications for the position of Financial Technician in the Portland Division. As a member of the finance team, the Financial Technician provides support to the financial operations of the Clerk's Office and assists in performing and coordinating administrative and technical work related to financial and accounting activities of the Court.

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications: To be eligible for appointment at CL-24, a candidate must possess a minimum of one year of specialized experience.

Specialized experience is progressively responsible clerical or administrative experience that provided knowledge of the rules, regulations, practices, and principles of financial administration and/or accounting; and involved the routine use of automated financial and accounting systems or other computer-based systems and applications such as word processing, spreadsheets, or databases.

Desired Qualifications: In addition to the minimum qualifications, preference will be given to applicants with any of the following qualifications:
Completion of a bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university with a degree related to accounting or finance. Two or more years of specialized experience. Candidates must also demonstrate: A consistent past employment record; Experience in dealing with routine and complex assignments; Excellent typing and proofreading skills; A demonstrated ability to think through, analyze, and interpret written communications; Ability to prioritize tasks and work assignments; Superior oral and written communication skills; Strong interpersonal skills; and A professional demeanor and appearance appropriate for a law or professional office environment.
