You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. This position has a requirement for professional registration as a Professional Engineer (P.E.) or Registered Architect (R.A.) in at least one of the United States. (Please upload proof of registration with your application package.)
Basic Requirement for a Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineer: See Education section below.

In addition to meeting the basic requirement in the Education section below, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below:
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) overseeing contract administration over large (mega) construction projects including contract modification, award, and schedules; 2) providing guidance and direction over biddability and constructability review of construction plans and specifications, 3) reviewing contracts for quality control, safety, and environmental compliance; and 4) leading multidisciplinary teams in the accomplishment of major construction projects of medical facilities and supporting structures.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13 or above).
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
