This National Guard position is for a SECURITY SPECIALIST (TRAINING SPECIALIST) TITLE 32, Position Description Number D2161000 and is part of the Oregon Air National Guard 142d Wing, National Guard.
Requirements:
Areas of Consideration:Area 1 - Current permanent or indefinite Title 32 Technicians of the Oregon Air or Army National Guard.
Area 2 - Current permanent or indefinite Title 5 Employees of the Oregon Air or Army National Guard.
Area 3 - Current service members in the Oregon Air or Army National Guard.
GENERAL EXPERIENCE:
Experience, education or training in collecting and analyzing data effectively, efficiently, and accurately. Able to apply procedures and directives by reading and interpreting technical material. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively orally and in writing, using presentation and report formats. Demonstrated ability to follow directions, to read, understand, and retain a variety of instructions, regulations, and procedures. Learned ability to assess the surrounding environment to recognize immediate risk levels. Must have the education and validated understanding of the basic principles and concepts of the occupational series and grade for one of the seven organizational program disciplines and its applicable Security Series career.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Must have 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level (GS-0080-08) that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled.
To Qualify for this Position, You Must Have:
A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level (GS-0080-08) in duties that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled.
OR
B. A Master's degree or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree. Education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work.
OR
C. A combination of Experience as described in "A" above and Education as described in "B" above.
