This position is located in a State Office on the staff of a State Conservationist Natural Resource Conservation Services (NRCS), US Department of Agriculture (USDA), Portland, Oregon. The incumbent serves as a State Coordinator in promoting and fostering conservation partnerships and cooperative relationships with environmental groups and urban organizations with natural resource interests in order to advance the NRCS mission.Requirements:

One year at the GS-12 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-13 level. (Please submit your SF-50 that shows Time-in-Grade eligibility and reflects your title, series, and grade. No Award or General Adjustment SF-50's will be accepted). Time-in-grade requirements also apply to VEOA applicants having held a GS position in the past year. See addition information.

Specialized Experience at the GS-13 level: One or more full-time years (12-months) of specialized work experience, equivalent to at least the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service, performing the following duties: Applying qualitative and/or quantitative methods to assess conservation issues and outreach to guide conservation planning and effectiveness of programs; Facilitating partnerships and/or outreach programs with other public and private conservation groups; Collaborating with staff to develop communication or marketing strategies for different audiences relevant to conservation issues and programs; and Serving as a point of contact for conservation activities and programs for the public or staff.
