This National Guard position is for a AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR, Position Description Number D1444000 and is part of the Oregon Air National Guard 142nd Wing, National Guard.

Requirements:

Areas of Consideration:
Area 1 - Current permanent and indefinite T32 technicians of the Oregon ANG.
Area 2 - Current permanent and indefinite T5 employees of the Oregon ANG.
Area 3 - Current service members in the Oregon ANG.
Area 4 - Individuals in the active duty US Air Force, Air Force Reserve, or Air National Guard.
Area 5 - US Citizens eligible to meet the military requirements for membership in the Oregon ANG.

GENERAL and SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Work involves the overhaul of aircraft, including the disassembly, reassembly, and test phases of aircraft overhaul programs of fixed and rotary wing aircraft systems, airframes, components and assemblies, where the work requires substantive knowledge of the airframe and aircraft mechanical, pneudraulic, and/or electrical systems and their interrelationships. Experience or training that has provided the ability to perform the various aspects of disassembly, cleaning, lubricating, or assembling of aircraft parts, components, or subassemblies. Experience in the use of various production shop equipment, hand tools, measuring devices, power tools, and test equipment.

(WS all grade levels) must have 36 months experience or training installing, adjusting, aligning, troubleshooting parts, subassemblies and components, and functionally testing the various major and minor mechanical and pneudraulic systems on an aircraft during overhaul or modification. In addition to the journeyman level knowledge, experience demonstrating the ability to plan, direct, and organize work assignments of lower grade personnel. Experience which required the review of work requirements and establishing priorities to meet deadlines. Experience that provided knowledge of various lines of work performed by this function. Experience which demonstrates the ability to supervise or the potential to perform such duties as evidenced by the ability to communicate knowledge of general supervisory concepts, and knowledge of shop processes. Experience in adapting existing equipment and techniques to new situations.
