About the Position: You will serve as the Navigation Divisions key advisor on issues involving the operations and maintenance of the District's floating plant and facilities. As Physical Support Manager of the Navigation Division, is primarily responsible for the operation and maintenance of all floating plants. Works under the very general direction of the Chief, Navigation Division.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes experience with operation and maintenance activities involving dredging and repair or rehab of navigation facilities; provide regulatory oversight applicable to budget allocation; and plans, assigns, directs, and coordinates the work of subordinate maintenance section staff in developing management plans for navigation projects. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13 or above).
