Description:

This position is located in the Market Initiatives (MTM) organization in the Business Transformation Office (MT), Business Development and Management (M), Chief Operating Office (K), Bonneville Power Administration (BPA).

The purpose of this position is to serve as the Director of Market Initiatives, with responsibility for Enhanced Day Ahead Market, Resource Adequacy, ongoing EIM policy changes in the industry and exploration of a Regional Transmission Organization.

Requirements:

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

A qualified candidate's resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-14) in the Federal service.

Specialized Experience for this position is defined as: 1) administering policy for energy markets; 2) developing and implementing programs for new energy markets; and 3) Performing critical work processes necessary to achieve strategic business goals and objectives for agency and regional market initiatives.

"Experience" refers to paid and unpaid experience. Examples of qualifying unpaid experience may include: volunteer work done through National Service programs (such as Peace Corps and AmeriCorps); as well as work for other community-based philanthropic and social organizations. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills; and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
