This position is in the Technology Innovation Office (DST), under the Deputy Administrator (D), in the Bonneville Power Administration (BPA).The purpose of this position is to serve as a TI Program Manager and technical authority and lead responsible for planning, leading and carrying out complex cross-agency research and development projects.
Requirements:
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTSA qualified candidate's resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level, GS-12, in the Federal service.
Specialized Experience is defined as: 1) Managing and leading complex research and development projects involving emerging technologies or systems to improve power delivery or technical operations; 2) Providing expert technical advice and policy guidance to executives and subject matter experts on research planning and innovation strategies; 3) Applying research management and evaluation methods to plan, design, and deliver projects aligned with organizational objectives.
"Experience" refers to paid and unpaid experience. Examples of qualifying unpaid experience may include: volunteer work done through National Service programs (such as Peace Corps and AmeriCorps); as well as work for other community-based philanthropic and social organizations. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills; and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
