This position is located with Bonneville Power Administration, in Generation Scheduling organization (PGS) of Generation Asset Management (PG), Power Services (P).A successful candidate in the Supervisory Operations Research Analyst position will serve as a manager of Generation Scheduling (PGS) with responsibility for developing and administering plans, programs, systems, and processes to execute real-time generation scheduling, and short-term planning.
Requirements:
Qualifications :Degree in Operations Research; or at least 24 semester hours in a combination of operations research, mathematics, probability, statistics, mathematical logic, science, or subject-matter courses requiring substantial competence in college-level mathematics or statistics. At least 3 of the 24 semester hours must have been in calculus.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
A qualified candidate's resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-14) in the Federal service.
Specialized experience is defined as: 1) Collaborating on cross-agency teams that define future state of operational tools to be used in Generation Scheduling operational groups; 2) Tracking, documenting and reporting on operational events; 3) Assessing lessons learned relative to hydroelectric project operations and implementing into processes; 4) Representing the technical requirements of managing hydroelectric power for development of generation control practices and algorithms.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills; and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
