Description:

About the Position: As a Program Manager you are responsible for managing efficiently and actively the planning, scope development, analysis, design, documentation, and review of projects under the major Civil Works and Support for Others (SFO) programs. Providing expert project management for various reservoir project operations and studies, such as: flood plains, river control structures, flood walls, bridges, dams environmental restoration, recreation features and levees.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience for the GS-12: One year of specialized experience which includes performing work as a Program Manager responsible for: 1) Ensuring projects are within budget and on schedule, 2) Develop project scope requirements and milestones for multiple Civil Works in river systems containing large, multi-purpose projects. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).

Specialized Experience for the GS-13: One year of specialized experience which includes performing work as a Program Manager responsible for oversight and technical work supporting Civil Works programs and operations, which include: 1) Planning projects for major river systems containing large, multi-purpose projects, such as Hydropower generation, navigation projects, large flood control projects, and environmental mitigation and restoration projects. 2) Control project schedule milestones, and 3) Budget planning. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
