This position is located with Environmental Compliance Transmission (ECT), Environmental Planning & Analysis organization (EC), Environment, Fish & Wildlife (E), Bonneville Power Administration (BPA).The purpose of this position is to serves as a technical Environmental Protection Specialist responsible for ensuring timely preparation and the adequacy, accuracy, and consistency of environmental analyses and related decision documents.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
GS-11:
A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-09) in the Federal service.
Specialized experience for this position is defined as: 1) applying knowledge of established National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) documents and other environmental protection regulations to carry out a variety of environmental protection program activities; and 2) monitoring projects to ensure compliance with applicable regulations.

A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) in the Federal service.
Specialized experience for this position is defined as: 1) applying knowledge of a wide-range of environmental protection regulations to draft National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and other environmental regulation analysis documents (e.g., Environmental Assessments, Environmental Impact Statements); and 2) managing a variety of environmental projects from inception to completion, ensuring program goals are met and the project complies with applicable guidelines.
There is no substitution of education for experience at the GS-12 level.

Examples of qualifying unpaid experience may include: volunteer work done through National Service programs (such as Peace Corps and AmeriCorps); as well as work for other community-based philanthropic and social organizations.
